THE POSITIVE IMPACT
IMPACT ON YOUR HEALTH
We spend average 2h per day every day, sitting by the dining-table using tablecloths and napkins wrapped in hazardous chemicals such as
etoxilates of nonilfenol, ftalatos, heavy metals, alquilfenoles… All these toxic chemists go through our skin when we dry us with them.
Some of the severe consequences on health that can comport are allergies, every day more common, psoriasis, dermatitis for contact and Multiple Chemical Sensitivity.
The magnitude of the problem is on a world-wide scale but HAZIA is of course conscious, and offers you an alternative:
At HAZIA you will find table linen made with 100% certificated organic cotton that will respect your skin avoiding the apparition of blotches,
Itching and allergies and offering a better transpiration.
Find our “For Hypersensitive skin” marked products which are always Nude, the original color of the Organic Cotton without any dies.
Its intrinsic naturalness makes it hypoallergenic, very suitable for babies or for people with atopic skin or dermatitis.
IMPACT ON OUR SOCIETY AND PLANET
All our fabrics have OCCGuarantee meaning that due to its organic production we avoid contamination towards the organism and towards the land.
Furthermore, you will be contributing for example to the lives and preservation of 150 families growing organic cotton in Brazil, a project that we support thanks to our partnership with OCC.
All the involved farmers are the owners of the land on which they work.
On these lands, they combine organic cotton cultivation with growing produce for their own use, thus avoiding the exploitation and desertification so typical of conventional cotton industry.
In fact, the cotton is obtained in unginned bales; so, the farmers keep all the seeds for replanting or for feeding the animals.
They do not use irrigation systems (just rainwater) and their fields are worked with animals, free from polluting agricultural machinery.
Our Fairtrade and Global Organic Textile Standard certified partner OCC, makes sure that farmers feel involved in these projects as much as we do.
In this manner it is possible to prevent the price inflation, so typical in the conventional-cotton industry, which many other companies take advantage of to raise or
drop prices and which directly affects the remuneration paid to the growers.
